Purchasing Internet site directory listings is a simple way to accomplish this. One of the most effective ways of website promotion is directory submission. Before purchasing a directory listing or registration, check the following items to ensure that you receive exactly what you require.

Dmoz and Yahoo Listing

Check if the web page directory you plan to purchase registration is listed in Dmoz and Yahoo Directory. It will ensure that the website directory is of high quality. Both Dmoz and Yahoo directories are closed now.

Static Text Links

Static Text Links From such directories, ensure you’re getting static text links, also known as search engine-friendly links. Various directories utilize the redirection method to measure hits or rate websites in their listings. Be wary of web directories whose sole goal is to sell PageRank or listings solely for search engine purposes, as search engines may eventually blacklist them.

So, take care of some of the criteria mentioned above. Directory listings will help you establish strong link popularity for your website, boost your site’s visibility, and drive more traffic.
